"I have had very bad experiences with other math courses in the past, online, as well as traditional text-book based curriculums. I just didn't get it! 

This experience with the revamped Math 11 has been great! I used to hate studying long and ill-explained math examples in paper textbooks that didn't make sense to me. Watching the videos at my own pace, seeing the teachers work out problems for me step-by-step, and laying out all the information in a clear and concise way has allowed me to truly understand the reasoning and purpose behind each step. 

I'm still not absolutely in love with math (I'm an arts and history guy). But I certainly understand the value of mathematics now on so many different levels. When taught right, math expands your thinking by helping you think 'outside the box' and looking at problems and issues from a different perspective!"

The videos used to teach much of the course material were engaging and easy to follow, and I found that they helped me to learn faster and more effectively than the usual textbook-based approach. Also, the applets included in many of the lessons provided a hands-on way for me to visualize and interact with the concepts being taught, which greatly increased my understanding of those concepts."
